This Shipping and Returns Policy outlines the terms and conditions regarding the delivery of your orders and the processing of returns and refunds.
1. Shipping Policy
1.1 Shipping Destinations
We currently ship nationwide across South Africa. We do not offer international shipping at this time.
1.2 Processing and Delivery Times
- Order Processing: Once you place an order and payment is confirmed, you will receive an order confirmation email.
- Packaging: Please allow time for packaging. Once your order is packaged and ready for dispatch, you will receive a completion email.
- Delivery Timeframe: Packaging and distribution typically take between 3 to 7 working days. Door-to-door delivery is generally completed within 5 to 10 working days from the date of order confirmation.
1.3 Shipping Costs
- Standard Shipping: Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location and order size.
- Free Shipping: We offer Free Shipping on orders over R1500 (Use code: SHIPITFREE at checkout).
1.4 Couriers and Tracking
We have partnered with a reliable courier service, SkyPoint, to ensure the safe delivery of your products. Once your order is collected by the courier, you will receive an email containing your tracking number, which you can use to track your package on SkyPoint’s website.
1.5 Collection Point
If you select the collection point option in Total Garage Glen, your order will be sent there once payment is cleared. We will notify you via email when your order is ready for collection.
1.6 Missing or Lost Packages
If you cannot locate your package or if an item is missing upon arrival, please contact us immediately at sales@bristlesandboxes.co.za, and our team will gladly assist you in resolving the issue.
2. Returns and Refunds Policy
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not, our returns policy is straightforward and compliant with South African consumer laws.
2.1 The 7-Day “Cooling-Off” Period (Change of Mind)
In accordance with Section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA), you have the right to cancel your online purchase and return the goods within 7 days of receiving them, for any reason and without penalty.
- Condition of Goods: To qualify for a change-of-mind return, items must be unopened, unused, and in their original, undamaged packaging. Due to the nature of cleaning and body care products, we cannot accept returns of opened items for health and safety reasons.
- Return Shipping Costs: For change-of-mind returns under the 7-day cooling-off period, the customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods to us.
2.2 Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items
In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), all our products carry an implied warranty of quality.
- If you receive an item that is defective, damaged, or not as described, you may return it within 6 months of delivery.
- Return Shipping Costs: If the return is due to a defect, damage, or an error on our part, Bristles & Boxes will cover the cost of return shipping.
- Upon receiving and inspecting the defective item, you may choose to receive a full refund, a replacement, or a repair (where applicable).
2.3 Non-Returnable Items
For health, safety, and hygiene reasons, the following items cannot be returned unless they are defective:
- Opened or used cleaning products and chemicals.
- Opened or used body care products.
- Gift cards.
2.4 How to Initiate a Return
To initiate a return, please follow these steps:
- Email our support team at sales@bristlesandboxes.co.za within the applicable return period (7 days for change of mind, or as soon as a defect is noticed).
- Provide your Order Number, a description of the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for the return.
- If the item is defective or damaged, please include clear photographs of the issue.
- Our team will review your request and provide you with a Return Authorization and instructions on how and where to send your package. Please do not send items back without contacting us first.
2.5 Refund Process
- Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
- If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within 5 to 10 business days.
- Please note that original shipping fees are non-refundable for change-of-mind returns.
